Obama's VP likely to not be a politician

Wed Aug 13, 2008 at 11:15:56 AM PDT

I tip my hat to Obama's team.  They have been tight-lipped about everything they have been doing.  Unfortunately, speculation gets really carried away.

This is pure speculation.  I have been reading all of these diaries but haven't found any to my liking that I agree with so I decided to put some food for thought out there.  Follow along and don't forget to take the poll.

We need to spin on Monday and Tuesday regarding Path/9-11

Sat Sep 09, 2006 at 01:34:31 PM PDT

The crock will air tomorrow night as planned.  We have to plan for using it to our advantage.

While we are still contacting affiliates, Disney, American Airlines, etc., we have to realize we can't stop when the movie airs.

Fortunately, the first week of the National Football League season begins this weekend.  Can you imagine how much audience won't even give a shit about this stinkin movie.

Anyways, the fallout could be and probably will be disasterous for ABC/Disney/American Airlines, etc.  We need to take advantage of this!!!!

Idea on the flip side.

Kiss Float supplemental suggestion for Joe Lieberman (CfL-Ct)

Fri Sep 01, 2006 at 07:52:08 PM PDT

We have all enjoyed the tremendous idea of the Kiss Float following Joe throughout Connecticut.  Wherever Joe goes, so goes the Kiss.  I have been thinking of another idea for the general election.  We need something so profound and so stupid that it just might work.  Remember, was it over when Germany bombed Pearl Harbor?

Anyways, read the suggestion below, comment, and take the poll.

MBNA Salutes President Bush

Thu Apr 27, 2006 at 08:44:50 AM PDT

In a surprise development today, President George W. Bush along with the board of directors of MBNA held a press conference.  President Bush informed the media that he longed to have some way for history to remember his Presidency.  He showed the media a dollar bill with George Washington on it and he showed the media a five dollar bill with Abraham Lincoln on it.  He offered to show higher denominations, but he figured no one will ever see currency with that kind of value again.

Don't Laugh, I am thinking about Moving to South Dakota

Fri Mar 10, 2006 at 12:14:20 PM PDT

Why would my wife and I move to South Dakota?  I think it will become the retirement capital of the United States. (especially if everyone else does what I am planning on doing)

What is it you ask?

When someone on here mentioned that a large group of people thought about moving to South Dakota to influence the voting of a state that got me thinking.

Why can't my wife and I do something similar.  If we can do it, why can't every other married couple.  Here is what I am thinking...

Use this as an open thread to keep us posted on what transpires at the press conference today.  I hope the White House press corps show up with a backbone.  1st press conference since May, come on...what a joke.

Please recommend.

Will anyone be watching out there in Kossackland?

Some of us are unable to and hope this diary will be recommended so we can be updated on what transpires.

O'Connor was spotted in the Minneapolis St Paul airport today just hours after the "BIG" announcement.  Everyone really needs to read this article and interpret it the way they see fit.

Republican Pres Bush visited MN on Friday, my perspective

Sat Jun 18, 2005 at 06:51:03 AM PDT

Friday around 11:30 am I am driving southbound on I-494 which is the southern bypass around the Minneapolis St Paul metro area.  All of a sudden, 4 lanes of interstate come to a complete halt.  I say to myself WTF?  must be a bad accident up ahead.  We sit for over 20 minutes.  There must be at least 10 miles of cars stopped all saying WTF?  People going to lunch, people leaving town for the weekend, people needing to get to important meetings.  Why were they stopped on the Interstate?  Read below the fold.

Framing Issues Need to be Addressed

Thu Jun 16, 2005 at 05:20:42 PM PDT

Most everyone here will agree with me that the tide is turning in our favor politically.  Being underfunded, undermanned, and completely shut out of any type of dialogue, the democrats are up against the wall.  How can we be 0 for 3 in the branches of the government, but now seem to be controlling a royal flush?  It is simple, we have the right issues. ....now it is time to aggressively frame the issues.

UN resolution threatens US

Thu Jun 16, 2005 at 10:56:59 AM PDT

China and Japan today have introduced a resolution in the UN claiming that the United States has weapons of mass destruction, nuclear, chemical and biological weapons capable of being delivered to any area of the globe within 15 minutes.  They also claim in their resolution that intelligence shows, despite vast denial from key states such as Great Britain, Tonga, Italy, and Australia, prisoners are being tortured at will and possibly killed.  Some places noted in the intelligence report include Guantanamo Bay in Cuba as well as other installations globally.  The United States in response today claims that the UN Secretary General lied about his involvement with the oil-for-food scandal so therefore, there is no way any of this action can be substantiated.

ACTION ALERT: ND Gov. meeting with Karl Rove this week

Wed Jun 08, 2005 at 08:57:31 AM PDT

ND Republican Governor John Hoeven is meeting this week in Washington with Karl Rove.  But guess what, Hoeven told the media it has nothing to do with politics or a run against our terrific Sen. Conrad.
http://www.kxma.com/news/local.asp?ID=5380

Hoeven is a liar.

I have called several times already today to inform him it is not nice to lie to the people of the great state of North Dakota.  I am asking all Kossacks out there to do the same thing.  Here is the contact information:::

e-mail to governor at state.nd.us
or by phone to 701-328-2200
or by fax to 701-328-2205

please tell them that what Gov. Hoeven is doing is using taxpayers dollars to fund trips to Washington for his own personal gain.  Many politicians have been brought down because of this.  Make sure to use a Minot or Bismarck or Grand Forks or Fargo address as well.

MN-Sen. should be reclassified to Lean Dem...take the poll

Fri May 27, 2005 at 06:33:04 PM PDT

The posterboy for the US Senate on the republican side, one Mr. Mark Kennedy had his name in the Strib today.  The STrib listed the assets/liabilities of all of the potential candidates for the US Senate.  Check out the war chest Mr. Kennedy has....

http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2005/05/27_ap_senatefinances/

He listed liabilities totaling between $350,000 to $750,000, including a mortgage and home equity loan.

hmmmm his assets are no more than $650,000 and he owes just as much.  Where is his warchest??????  It is going to take millions to beat the
Democratic candidate whoever he/she is.  To be in debt from last election does not bode well for the hand picked puppet of the Bushie Administration and 1-term Gov. Pawlenty.  Oh how sweet this is.
