cartwrightdale Going Viral at YouTube!! Updated
Fri Aug 15, 2008 at 10:07:54 AM PDT
As everyone here noticed yesterday, Kossack cartwrightdale made an amazing video that showed in very graphic terms exactly why a McCain presidency would be exactly like a third Bush term.
Of course a video like that is popular at a site like this one, but it's beginning to get a lot of attention at a much bigger site: YouTube.
"Approval Ratings: The Public v. McCain" already has over 100,000 views, and it's number one on YouTube's "Rising Videos."
Further evidence (and what you can do to help foster the popularity) below the fold.
[Update 11:34 AM PDT]: It's happening, Kossacks! In the comments below, Magster notes that "Approval Ratings" has gotten onto the Most Viewed page at YouTube. Now let's move it up the chart!

Thu Aug 14, 2008 at 03:56:31 PM PDT
As 37,000 people have already seen on YouTube, kossack cartwrightdale posted an incredibly powerful Obama commercial last night. cartwrightdale's diary has been on the rec list all day, as has VirginiaDem's.
It is fantastic to see the quality of this grassroots video, and it's clear that YouTubers agree: it's on the list of today's Top Rated videos. But it would be even better to see it get a wider audience: Let's see what we can do to get this thing on YouTube's Most Viewed list!
My stepdad has hope
Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 03:58:48 PM PDT
I've read several "my friend the republican is going to vote for Obama" diaries here. For the most part, though, I skip them. They're my second-least-favorite type of diary, right after candidate bashing diaries. And, frankly, many are hard to believe.
But after the conversations I've had with my stepdad over the last week, I've changed my tune. In fact, I'm writing my own.
Time Magazine: Possible Indictment for Rumsfeld
Fri Nov 10, 2006 at 03:17:50 PM PDT
Time Magazine has just posted a, excuse the term, bombshell of a story.
According to the article, Germany's top prosecutor will file the papers next week to charge Rumsfeld "long with Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, former CIA director George Tenet and other senior U.S. civilian and military officers, for their alleged roles in abuses committed at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison and at the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba."

Our Official Language Should Be Freedomese!
Fri May 19, 2006 at 05:04:31 PM PDT
With all of the blogosphere up in arms about the whether or not we should have a national language, I haven't heard anyone voice any concern over whether we should adopt a language that is
named after another country.
Sure, it seems innocuous now, but what if Great Britain decides not to back us in our next war? All of a sudden, we'd have 300,000,000 Amurkins speaking the enemy tongue!
It just won't do. We've got to have a national language, all right, but it's got to be Freedomese®.
Why We'll Never Have 'Victory'
Fri Dec 16, 2005 at 01:14:08 PM PDT
Christian Dem in NC had a
diary earlier today about the resolution being introduced in the House that will call a timetable for withdrawal "inconsistent with achieving victory."
Like everyone here, this bothers me in so many ways. It's blatant politicking, it's a waste of valuable time in our Congress, and it gives the Rethugs even more opportunities for grandstanding. But what really bothers me is that they continue to use word "victory" as if it were remotely possible (or even defined!).
Attention, Rethugs, MSM, and all Americans: There can be no conventional victory in Iraq.
Reasons on the flip.
